Flakes, community pellets, blood worms, any standard aquarium fare. You may want to add a veggie based flake as well.

I use a mix of omega one veggie flake and tropical flake, that i ground up using a mortar and pestle as they were too big for my neons.

Hi Fishlover, hope all goes well with your new fish.
Just remember that blood worms should be only used as a treat for most fish, they have like a skin on them that can be hard to digest if they are given out to much,i would only feed the fish you have mentioned with bloodworms once a week, the rest of the time feed them both algea flake, a good quality tropical flake and fresh vegies like peas and zuchini.
Good luck.thumbs2:

Agreed with Slimey's post.

I do the flake mix or hikari tropical pellets as main stays. Once a week I mix in brine shrimp and blood worms

I use Ed's Almost Natural Tropical Fish Food.

The guy makes it, so it is really fresh. Everyone on another forum swears by the stuff! It is not very expensive, $3 gives you about a cup and a half of fish food. I ordered 2 containers, a freshwater flake and a supercolor flake about 6 months ago, and have barely made a dent in the stuff!

I have gotten really great colors from my fish using the supercolor flake. I haven't had much problems with disease or anything.
