i have a female swordtail, and shes the yellow type. she appaers to be pregnant cus of the dark spawing patch on her stomach. everytime she gets like this i put her in my fish breeding holding cell, and she jumps back out. is there any way that i can make her stay in there?? i would really like to have some baby fish. one other thing i still have my aunts 2 goldfish in my tank, would they eat the baby fish?? i have guppies too, and they seem to be breeding but no signs of those baby either. and do drawf goraumis eat the babys?? i feed my fish 2 times a day. any advice would really help.

Cut a peice of a nylon stocking and safty pin it over the top.

Your goldfish will definitely gobble up any fry. A gourami may also eat them. You really shouldn't keep goldfish in with tropicals- they prefer cooler water, and also release too much ammonia to be in with the more sensitive tropicals. I would consider separating them from your other fish intp another tank or returning them to the pet store and getting other tropical fish to take their place if you have room.
