wal-mart diggin for excuses?

i went to wal-mart today to get stuff for my new 5.5g, and saw a few signs on the tanks. The wal-mart has been building a add-on for a few months for produce, and the fish are about 5 aisles from the construction. The sign said that they are no longer selling fish due to construction, and yet they still had two tanks. one with 2 bronze corys, and one with 10 skirt tetras.
I just think since the american ones are getting rid of fish, theyre following along due to complaints and are just BS'ing about construction.

I assume with construction going on, they don't want customers and personal wandering around in the area where they could be held liable for injuries.

I'm not sure where the other Wal-Mart thread is, but I hit my local Wal-Mart in NW Houston, TX the other day to see if they had any fish left. When I got there, a woman was feeding the fish and cleaning a few things up. I asked her if/when they were losing their supply of fish and she said that they were one of the rare stores which were keeping them. Not just keeping them but also expanding their whole fish line with newer and bigger tanks.

Who knows if she was right or not, but i'll definately be keeping an eye out to see what goes on.

Sounds to me Cocoa, that they were just using that as an excuse. Surely after the construction though, if that was the real reason, they'd bring the fish back!

Mine still keeps fish. They must have got a new guy working there because the anks and fish look great!
