aquarium help please

hello, I am wondering if marine sand would submerge in water, I am thinking of using sand instead of gravel would this work? Will the sand float around? Any response would be greatly apreciated, Thanks. :fish:

im pretty sure it will sink....once u put the sand in the tank would get all dirty and you wouldn't be able to see anything but after around 3 days it should sink to the bottom....hope i could help thumbs2:

Hey Aqua, You should be OK. Just put the sand in first, and when you add the water just add it very slowly. Some will say add it to the side of the tank and some say put a bowl to catch it so it just runs off. I added my H2O along the side, I had some floaties, but if I remember correctly (three years ago for my Puff Guy's tank set up) the tank settled just fine.
