Picked up some. How often should these be fed? Should they be soaked first? I want to start offering a change from the normal pellet food.

They are very high in crude fat and protein, and there-for, to prevent bloat, should only be feed every 5-6 days.

i feed my fish bloodworms about twice a week or so as a treat. the rest of the time i feed omega 0ne staple. also, lots of veggies like spinach, lettuce, peas, etc. i also occasionally feed frozen daphnia. the best thing is to vary the diet.

How do you prepare the veggies for the fish? Do you cook them or serve raw?

i give zuchini to my fish and i don't cook it at all. i do however freeze and thaw it before putting it in the tank. a couple of slices will not last longer than 2 days in my tank. my fish eat every single bit of it including the peel.

Very few of my fish will eat dried bloodworms, and only when they are hungry!!! Frozen bloodworms are another story, they would eat those as often as I would feed them.
Fresh vegs, I put in the tank fresh and raw, there are a few fish that will wait til it softens, but most go for it right off the bat.

for veggies, i blanch them in the microwave until they're soft.

Some people boil the veggies.
