As I've mentioned in another thread
I'm setting up a marine tank for a Snowflake
Im just curious what are some compatible tankmates for him, hes about 40cm long, $70
I'm starting off with live rock and fish only, then going to add some corals, i know in his clumsyness he will knock some over, but i'll work around it,
I was quite interested in Redtooth triggers, and Orange Anthias(?)
Atm at the pet shop. hes in a tank with to Royal Angels and a large Black Clown.

What size tank are you working with?

snowflakes tend to do well with most any fish that is too large to fit in their mouth. If you feed them often with mysis shrimp, sand eels, etc... they won't have any interest in tank mates.
You do need to be careful about your cleanup crew, however. They will devour crustaceans and other inverts without a hard shell.

I wanted little hermit crabs if possible?

Snowflake Eels will pouch your hermit crabs in short order. That tank is a bit too small for a Snowflake IMO. They really need a 5-6' tank to really be comfortable.

Well I do have a 6x2x2' which I was considering, I think I may give the snowy a miss till I set up the 6 footer, im chucking a Marisys on the 52gal, might just get some smaller species to begin with

i dont think u would be able too fit a trigger in a 52 gal i would have thought it would outgrow the tank.

Oh yes, the trigger would have deffinetly outgrown the tank, he wouldn't have been in there for long the 52 gal is just my start up reef tank, I wouldn't keep an adult red tooth in anything less then a 130 gal, and that's pushing it
