I just picked up a new 8" Longnose Gar. It's about 8" and seemingly doing well...although he hasn't taken any food yet. For now he is still settling in, but i'll update with a few pics and on his progress.

This one is actually store bought...more than likely wild caught though. I'll try to have some pics up tonight. My home computer has been giving me troubles with uploading pics and vids. I'll see what I can do though!

Sorry guys...no pics yet!

On the possitive side...he is already eating pellets! This is pretty awesome for a YOY Longnose! They tend to be one of the more difficult to get off of live foods. I have some decent pics, but I have been unable to upload them yet! I'm still working on them...I promise!

HAHA! Thanks!

I'm pretty excited! The last baby Longnose I raised took over 2 months to start on pellets an shrimp. Now all I have to do is keep this one from breaking his back! :scry:

Is it darting around the tank or something?

No...this one actually seems very calm (comparatively speaking). My last one got caught behind the intake tube on the filter (then freaked out) and broke his back. Fingers are crossed.
