other than crushed coral which is like 80$ a bag what can i use to raise th eph besides the chemical buffer. sometimes it leaves my tank cloudy for a day or two. im looking to create some caves and tunnels out of black abs and i thought that gluing the ph raising substrate would be a great way to add pieces of it to the tank and then be able to adjust and remove it by adding or removing caves and tunnels. this is a modification of northernguys abs tunnel demo i think
Thanks

Dead coral skeletons will help raise your ph.

There must be some other store that sells smaller bags of crushed coral.
I don't know if crushed limestone would work or not.

You can find dried coral at some fish stores. Its a pricey peice to crush up! lol
It will work.
I do suggest you find a way to maintain proper ph.That should be stable in your tank!

you don't have to crush it up, you can use it to create caves etc.
You should be able to pick it up fairly cheap at an lfs that specializes in salt water setups. Base rock is just dead coral.

Limestone is supposed to work well. I havent tried it, but it is very cheap, something like 3$ for more than you will ever use at home depot.
