I have been battling with hair algae in my neon tank for a while now. I treated with peroxide which helped for a while but eventually it came back. I recently added 2 pearl gourami to the tank and within a week the algae was GONE!! Very impressive job! For anyone having algae issues think about gouramis.

Yeah it was nice to finally find a solution to that problem, even if it wasn't something that I planned.

Nice job. I hear black mollies do a good job too but I can't stand mollies.

It's great to fix an algae problem and end up with a couple of beautiful fish at the same time. Pearls are awesome.

Great job! Isn't it great to get rid of the algae after fighting constantly with it? Hated that in my 55 til the pleco finally got off his lazy butt and started eating algae again. :hmm3grin2orange:

Yeah pearls are great. I've had them in the past but not for a number of years. these ones are were very healthy when I got them and are fitting in great with my neons. They actually all school together which is fun to watch. I'll have to get some photos up of that soon.
