hi all need help please i have a pair of juwels (Hemichromis bimaculatus) in a 70ltr tank on their own. The problem i am having is that the female lays her eggs on a rock like she should but the eggs disappear after about 2 days and are never seen again and fry seen. This as happened about 3-4 times in the last 3 months. Can anyone please advice on why this is happening. Is the tank too small for them as i said there is only them 2 fish in this tank THANKS Martin

What other fish are in the tank, if there are any? It may be the parents, but I wouldn't be certain of that.

Sometimes it takes them a few spawns to get it right. See what happens the next couple times, and if they still disappear, try removing the parents.

So if I remove the parents what do I need to do with eggs do I just leave them to hatch on their own
