Does anyone know the name of the fish in the last pic, I have two, they were a rescue from a neighbor.

It took Months before that thing would stop puttin leaves up to the surface. I just cut them every time they startin to shoot up and eventually they stop coming out every day, now its just about once a month.

working from the bottom up...
substrate heater, 1st layer:aquarium sand. second layer:cultured gravel. 3rd layer: flourite. nitrates are a constant 10ppm. I use flourish tabs, but sparingly. I'll also throw a bit of liquid fert. in every once and awhile, if i need to skip a water change.
DIY C02, gallon mixture, intake into powerhead for good dissolving/dispersal.
Lights are just 2 40w hagen powerglo's.

Beautiful!! Im not sure if Im going to go with a natural look for my tank, or a more modern. But yours is definatly making me lean towards natural.

Ive always done natural. I cant stand treasure chests and divers. My tanks are only composed of sand or gravel, and driftwood, live/fake plants, and rocks.

the palm tree is ready to come out soon. that tree trunk i think looks good edged with the natural hair algae, and also provides a nice sized cave for the fish, i hope to grow my java moss up it, as you can see in one of the pictures i already have it started...as for the scuba man...i guess its just a novelty soft spot of mine, and a favorite hiding place for my pleco!
