New addition...and we have twins

We've been eyeballing featherdusters since we started our tank so We decided to buy one on Monday. It seems to be happy and was open shortly after acclimating and adding to the tank. I feed the tank marine snow daily so it should be set on food.

on to the twins, lol For the past few weeks I thought our BTA was unhappy and was starting to move. This morning when I looked in the tank with the moon lights on I found that not to be the case. Turns out the BTA was splitting and we were never able to tell because the clowns were always in the way. So now 1 half is in its usual spot with the clowns sleeping in it and the other is a few inches away. I won't have room for 2 full grown BTA's so once its healed I'm going to sell it on my local reef club. I promise I'll have pics this afternoon when the lights kick on

Here's a pic of the BTA's. The slpit part isn't as large as I thought it would be. In fact the "mother" nem doesn't look any smaller then it did before it split. Both parts look happy. Is there anything I should do to ensure they heal quickly other then maintaining clean water?

Thank you red. I'm going to attempt to feed it today unless some tells me otherwise. The mouth seems to be in decent shape on both of them. There coming a long great. The smaller one is a little paler then the the bigger one, but it hasn't moved and stays open so it appears healthy

It's pretty cool to see them split and congrats on the new nem. I recently also added an RBTA to my tank but what's shocking is that it split right on the first day! I think it was mainly due to the shipping stress but now they both seem very happy and always open I also think they found their perfect spot but not necessarily where I want them since I can't take very good pics from where they are lol.

Thank you. They seem to be healing up well. I think I will be able to feed them by mid week

The feather duster seems to have abandoned its tube. It moved to the back of the tank in a spot I won't be able to get it. Something must have made it unhappy or possibly scared it. Hopefully it finds a spot its happy with and rebuilds a tube
