I have a 55 gallon gourami tank with three corys and 2 weather loaches. I am planning on getting more corys and I was wandering how many I should put in my tank to give them a good environment, without overcrowding. Also, would my loaches like company, or is two a good number for them?
IMO I would not be getting any more fish. Reason is because the Weather Loaches do much better in cool water of around 17-20'c. While Corys like it warmer.
Your best bet would be to re-home or set up another tank for the Weather Loaches.

I now have 7 corys and will probably get about 4 more. They love to school together and are quite fun to observe. Do you think it would be a bad idea to add a dozen or so tetras to my tank? I feel like the tank is complete, but no

if you can do without the weather loaches i think more cories and a few more ghost glass cats will round out your system well. I like loaches, they are interesting to watch no doubt, but i find them to be much harder to keep happy. (the water parameters from my well is terrible for almost all tropical fish lol, so maybe it is just my luck and water specs) I find the cories easy to care for and if kept in proper numbers they are very social animals.
