i got an oscar about three days ago and ive found plants uprooted and ornaments pushed a little i know this is normal but should i put the stuff back where it was or move it or what i dont want to make him angry

lol They are fussy!
I just place it back where they were.It gives them something to do!I also put a red and white fishing bobber in the tank.They play with it when they are bored.

My oscar always rearranges everything, LOL. Rocks, driftwood, ornaments, you name it!! I do put it back, but it doesn't last long and like NG said, gives them something to do.
My bloke would pick up the silk plants and use the heavy base to tap on the glass to get your attention and then dance to say he wanted food, LOL. Or he spits mouthfuls of gravel at the glass for the same reason. They really are a heap or fun. But your tank never looks like when yo first set up it up, apart from about 5 minutes:hmm3grin2orange:

It's natural. My oscar attempts to move my decor, but it's too large for him. LOL but he does pick up rocks in his mouth and move them around.

Its a cichlid thing really! Oscars are real characters though. They rock!

I even see my beta "Oscar" moving mouthfulls of sand to the corner.:hmm3grin2orange:

Oscars always fancy themselves as awesome decorators. Give him something else to keep him distracted, if you are lucky it will work for 10 minutes! lol
