Well I officially got the MTS bug and decided I wanted to do a 125 Malawi Mbuna tank. So here is a journal of my progress to date. Credit has to go to member ErikFromNJ for the inspiration and help to do my DIY stand and canopy(oak).

Aaaaaaand a few more:ssmile: ! This is where I'm at right now. I need to complete the canopy and then concentrate on the rest of the mechanical workings of the tank setup itself. I am going to use PFS this time(have 3MCQ in my 72g) and I need to decide on which type of rockwork I will use. Filtration will be an FX5 and an AC110, plus a Koralia3 PH to move waste to the filter. 2 250w Stealths will do the heating. Lighting is going to be DIY. I've got 2 3' T5 fixtures from HD that I will mount in the canopy. It gives me 84w of light(non-planted).

Thanks everyone thumbs2: . The canopy is done except for needing 2 coats of polyurethane. Now I can get down to business getting everything else setup :D ! I went and got 100lbs of pool filter sand today, but that will go in after the rockwork. Here are a few more pics.

Rockwork is in. Filters and Heaters are running, I will start cycling tonight. The cloudiness in the pics has since cleared, although I may change to a different spectrum bulb eventually as it seems to yellow(3500k)
