Have had many Oscars over the years.
Recently setup a 75gal. home for 4 young Tigers, each @ 1in long.
Tank has been set up for @ 2 1/2 months now, and the fish eat well and have grown considerbly.
The Oscars share the tank with a 4" pleco which remains hidden most of the time, and a lepard cat.
My problem is the Oscars remain hidden except when hungry, have any of you had this experience?

Thanks,
Ron S

give them more hiding spaces like clean PVC pipes and driftwood.
Make sure youre not keeping those oscars there forever as they need a 150g fullgrown for 4.

I would say 120 minimum if properly maintained. As said more hiding places make them feel secure and may lead to them coming out more, otherwise it just takes time and size to build up their confidence that they are not there to be eaten.

The little rascals have plenty of places to hide, that's the current problem.
Feeding time is mayhem......
Thanks for the info....

Thanks for the info.
The little rascals have too many places to hide, that's the problem.
Feeding time is mayhem though.
