Credits to drumachine09 for the idea.

First, get an incandescent light bulb, NOT FLUORESCENT. It doesnt matter if its white or clear, clear is easier. Pull off the round copper tab at the end of the metal with some needlenose pliers. Then, break the black under that. After that, break the incandescent glass part (really easy), shake all the glass out, and a perfect ghost shrimp tank. I have mine hanging from my ceiling with a shrimp as we speak.
If your bulb is white, use a screwdriver to scrape the innards and wash it out.

You dont need to scrape it. Just put a bunch of salt in, shake it, dump it, and rinse it. Ill repost a DIY with some pics for those who dont get it.

i had a clear one. I found a website that said to scrape it. Its really cool. It magnifies the shrimp.

Oh, and for how i hung it, i used the plug-in end of headphones (the jack), and jammed it into the top of the lightbulb and tied the other end to a nail in the wall.

The main comp (the only one with an sd card reader) is in the shop. ill get a DIY with pics for how to make the bulb, the stand (2x4 & coat hangar) and the light (9 volt baterty, led, switch) I should have it back monday, i started taking pictures and i realized "CRAP" how am i going to get the pics off the camera... anyways, im on spring break, and i will have plenty of time to make stuff aquarium related, and im making an indo board (used for balance training). So ive got my hands full, but the DIY is my first priority. I only broke 3 darn light bulbs before i got it right.

i got mine on my first try.

Actually, post how to do the light. Grade 4 science from 8 years ago is all forgotten.

My spring break isnt til next week, as in the 26th i think. Then, i go to seattle for 5 days to get fish stuff and bmx parts.

Good news for everyone (bad for cocoa) i found the hook up cord, so i can post the DIY step by step tonight, however, on my last project, i use all of my ultra bright LEDS, si that DIY will have to wait untill tommorow. I will post in about half an hour. Keep on the edge of your seats.
