I have a 6700K T-5 HO 48" and a 10,000k T-5...damn I lost the paper I wrote it on but it makes a blue light.

Both are 54 watts.

So thats 108watts of light combined. That would mean....1.8 wpg in the 60, correct? The tank is "tall" so would that make it less?

Saying my 1.8 wpg is correct, would this mean I have "low light"?

Ahh crud! I just noticed I put this in the wrong forum! I wish I could sleep!!!

T5 bulbs with high quality reflectors are more effecient than T12, giving around 50% more usable light than the same wattage T12.

Light requirements (WPG) were computed using a T12 as the standard.

I would say you have around 2.1-2.2 wpg usable lighting

I'll move the thread

A-ha!

Thanks x 2! For shedding some light on this (ohhh how lame!) and for putting this in the proper place.

This is good news. I might be able to pull off some plants other than java moss. Hurray!

You should be able to grow a nice variety of plants.
