As some of you know, we've had to purchase a new car because the transmission was failing in our previous one...for the 2nd time. After a month of rain I finally got a chance to clean it up and take some pics. Its an 04 Monte Carlo SS Supercharged Dale Jr Edition. Its a special edition and is #1,061 of 2,883. It has a supercharged 3.8 L V6 and has 240 Hp and 283 lb/ft of torque. Its not going to remain stock and I will be buying the first performance mods this afternoon. Let me know what you think. Thank you

WOW! Nice ride. Is this car a 'daily driver'? It looks like a 'show' car.

Thank you everyone. It is a daily driver, but I'm saving up for some steel wheels and snow tires for winter to keep those wheels nice. There's actually a car identical to this one that lives just a 1/4 mile from me, but its not a shinny:hmm3grin2orange:

If you plan on driving that in the winter get some good tires on it and get it undercoated.
I had a neighbor with a newer Monte Carlo just not the Nascar edition. That thing rusted faster than any old Ford I have ever seen.
Proper maintenance was not high on his list though! lol
I would actually park it and get a winter beater for the white crap.thumbs2:

I plan on taking it to the car wash weekly and get the underside sprayed in the winter. I put it on the lift at work before buying and it has no rust anywhere. The sub-frame is aluminum which helps with it rusting. I wish I could get a winter beater but I would have no place to park it or store this one for the winter.

I ordered a wizaird cold air intake https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=247&catid=113 and a zzp 3 inch downpipe with high flow cat and u bend delete https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=551&catid=110 this morning which are good supporting mods and give it a 15-20hp increase. Then I plan on eventually getting a set of performance rockers, a smaller supper charger pully, and ported exhaust manifolds. I'm taking it to the dragway next week. It should run low 14's in the 1/4 mile stock

I'm a Magna Flo fan but that sounds pretty good! Just remember its a daily driver and gas milage is kinda helps these days!lol
Its not a 1/4 mile at a time!:hmm3grin2orange:
I am looking forward to vids from the track if possible!thumbs2:

The downpipe comes with a magnaflow catthumbs2: I'm leaving the mufflars stock for now. Leaving it as a sleeper as much as possible (if that's possible with supercharged in big letters on the side:hmm3grin2orange:)

As far as gas mileage, all these mods actually will help it as long as I keep it out of boost and drive like there's an egg under the gas pedal. So far I've been getting 22-23 around town and 30 highway and I have a heavy right foot

I'll try and get a vid at the track. It will probably be an interior shot because my fiance is gonna want to ride along with me (the extra weight in front actually helps in a front wheel drive car)

They went to front wheel drive in that!
I'd be careful at the track if you are running all stock.Rear wheel drive is so much cheaper to fix.Easier too! lol

It's cute.

Getting a new car is like getting a puppy...you gotta feed it, bathe it, take it for walkies...:hmm3grin2orange:
