Oscar ate a crab

I was walking down by the ocean today and caught a little crab. Out of interest i brought it home to see if my Oscar would eat it... and he did. However, he looked uncomfotable like he was being bitten from the inside. A couple hours has past and he is looking better, but I am now curious if Oscars can eat ocean crabs on a semi regular basis. This would be a cheap source of treats if it is ok for his health. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

They do not eat ocean crab in the wild!
They do eat crayfish and really enjoy it.

Yea the wont eat a sw in the wild of course, but they will eat crustaceans, perhaps the meal was a little too big for him?

I would be careful feeding any freshwater fish live food from an ocean, at the very least boil the crabs first.
