Not recommended. Jellyfish should only be kept by institutions or the ocean. In home aquariums, they will die in a few months.

Meh, they are possible, ive seen it done several times All though they are extremely rare to see, they are relitivly easy to find/buy.
I would not recommend a jelly at all. They are one of the most extremly sensitive (if not the most) invertebrate. They require CONSTANT monitoring, and are not even attempted by some of the most experianced aquarist.
Just curious to increase my knowledge base and am not considering keeping a jellyfish, but what makes them so hard to keep?

In general, saltwater organisms are harder to keep because they come from a body of water that hardly (if ever) changes. So corals for example, are far more sensitive to changes in water parameters than say, a puddle jumper in a rain forest which has adapted to constantly changing water conditions. Jellyfish in particular, seem to be very sensitive to water parameters and have very specific needs.

yea I was reading about it just out of curiosity... I forgot the website but they said tht u need water current... it has to be made a certain way so u wont hurt them..... the tank cant have any angles/corners or they can get trapped to one corner and not be able to set it self free.... so u need a round tank.....
I m looking for the webpage and I will put the link here for u
EDIT***
ok chrona beat me to it.... thts where I read it he has the link....I just saw it now

Didn't mean to discourage anyone from trying salt water tanks. With proper maintenance, a fish only (maybe with live rock) salt water tank is not much harder than say, a planted tank.
