Does walmart have aquarium safe silicone if so how do you tell if it is aquarium safe???
Often times it will say...but generally if it says 'food safe' you're good to go (once it's properly cured).
If in doubt, don't use.

Its going to be used for my sump
...doesn't matter. It still has to be safe.

GE Silicone II 100% rubber silicone is aquarium safe and about a third of the price of aquarium silicone.:22:

Or GE Silicone I 100% rubber silicone. (thats what I use)
Do not get anything that say tub or bath. Those contain anti mildew agents that are very harmful to your fish.

Does it say for bath or showers? If yes, then one poster said its a no go.
I just bought some silicone today, but it says for bath and showers. ;[
Back to the store we go...

I wouldnt trust any silicone that wasnt the specific two mentioned by people. The GE II seems most popular but JAster says the GE I works too

Just be sure to let it sit for a couple days (36-48 hours) to cure and you should be good to go. thumbs2:

I've never worked with silicone before. I mean I have, but not like I'm describing.
Wouldn't it be hard to make decorations? i.e., glueing rocks together to make a cave? Wouldn't you have to hold the rock until it somewhat cured? That would be a pain.
I have used hot glue before. It cures super fast, and gives a good hold. The bad news, it fails miserably underwater. Whatever you just made, it will collapse under water. :\

I used clamps and gorilla glue effectively to make a slate decoration
