Sorry but I must ask this question, so many have mentioned it in other threads.
How many of you guys and gals have served in the armed forces, and how long.
In advance, I would like to congratulate you all:22:

Just under 10 years in the US Army. I started off in the field artillery as a fire direction specialist and changed over to an office job dealing with computers later.

Started off as a 13E with C Batt. 5/18 FA based in Ft. Sill OK. I served with that unit in the first Gulf War. I was young and looking for adventure. I switched my MOS to 75F when I re-enlisted, was promoted to SGT and served with HHC PERSCOM in Korea. I went from Korea to Redstone Arsenal AL and finished out there in charge of the SIDPERS III database system in the base MILPO. Kind of a sweet assignment at the end. No field time at all. I just had to train folks in CTT and do PT with the unit. Other than that, it was an office job working with civilians. When I left, they wanted me to stay on as a civilian employee, but I wanted to go back to my home state. At that point I had no family and few friends there. That's the problem with the military. People keep moving.
