hi im thinking of changing my substrate and i dont no what the best way of doing it would be as i have fish in there and i dont want to disturb them any ideas

Well you will disturb your fish to some degree but it can of course be to a larger or smaller degree.

Which fish to you keep?

I'm asking since this can affect how it is done best.

In that case i wouldn't worry to much about stressing them

The best option might be to fill a bucket (clean and well rinsed)with water from the aquarium and then moving the fish to the bucket and keeping them their untill you are done in the aquarium.

Keeping some of the old substrate will to get the aquarium (the bacteria) to work optimally faster after the change.
