They're everywhere here at night. I find them all the time. Sometimes I get to hold them. Pretty cool.

LOL, looks like CM to me.
So thats aboot 2 3/5 inches.

Although it's hard to tell whether it is inches or cm. (My only frame of reference is the moth, so you know.)

Still kinda big.

Yes that would be much less surprising :hmm3grin2orange:

I cant really see the ruler I think because my gamma is really high

It is CM. I am European. I usually write inch as well as some countries refuse to use the superior metric system
:hmm3grin2orange:

but not this time.

Once when we were camping, one just like that committed suicide and jumped in the bon fire. :ssuprised: He was a crispy critter. :14: They are neat for sure.

It was beginning to bug me, the only frame of reference for the moth was the ruler and the only frame of reference for the ruler was the moth.

PARADOX!:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

No, its says 1:100 on the ruler. That indicates CM.

I will use macth boxes in the future. Like below not to confuse anyone :hmm3grin2orange:

Ah, didn't spot that, I did however notice millimeter markings that you don't really get with inches.:hmm3grin2orange:

I think if you post both that would be good.

Like what you just did.

So does the one I "got" here. All moths are great snacks if you ask her.

Wait a minute. Are those red tip safety matches or white tip strike anywhere kitchen matches? Maybe fireplace matches. That could be a foot long moth. Could you use something for scale that we are all familiar with, like an 1854 $3 gold piece?

kthnx :fish2:

Perhaps you could use pebbles for scale.:hmm3grin2orange:
