For those of you who have kept them, how did you feed them? I drop in shrimp pellets before I shut the lights off for the night, but I never actually witness them eating, thought the pellets are gone in the morning..
Sounds good, I feed mine when I feed all my other fish, and they get food fine.

Are they black (brown) or striped?
They aren't a "schooling" fish, but they enjoy being in groups. I think adding 2 or 3 more would be good. Also, keeping them in a group insprires their competitive side when it comes to feeding.

Like the other posters, I feed mine at the same time as the rest of the tank. I generally treat them the same as any other bottom feeder - ie, make sure I have some sinking food in the mix.
Mine seem to really enjoy bloodworms (I use these maybe once a week as a treat). As soon as they bloodworms hit the top of the water, the loaches seem to sense them and come out from their burrows.
Mine get fed at the same time as all my Loaches in my 100g. And they always come out to feed. And normally in ball of Kulies to. Thinking of it I might get some more.
