What should I stick with a couple convicts in a 75 gallon tank?

Would a pair of green terrors work or no?

Hard to say. I cant give any specifics. I couldnt keep anything with mine, they killed everything.
But, right now I have my mean blue gourami, and my mean golden zebra loach in there with them. The gouarmi has been in there for over 6 months, a little beat up, but he knows his place now.

Unfortuantly, many LFS's sell convicts as a relatively peaceful fish, and as you've all noted they are most definately NOT.

I've never had luck keeping them with anything I have in my tanks.. I even threw a small one in with my mbuna for a night... literally one night, then he had to be removed.

I brought him back to the LFS and gave him back the convict for free... he has a 55g full of them.. probably 100 or more... they keep breeding and he has nobody to buy them, and his supplier won't buy them back because they are having the same problem as well..

But, if you are set on caring for one, go for it, my guess is that they may get a long with some of the more aggressive SA cichlids... Hopefully someone who keeps them can help you out.

I don't know if my pink convicts have the same temperment of regular convicts. I have two pinks along with a Jack Dempsey and it seems that as long as everyone has a little hole that they caan call their own then everyone is happy. They do square off from time to time and I can assure you that the JD does very well against the Pinks.

ROFLMAO ... guess that's why they call`em convicts (not cause of the stripes) thumbs2:

PS: do they like the Ackon guy (rapper...)?

Don't keep a mated pair. Get rid of one or the other. Or, move the pair to a smaller tank for just them and keep the 75 for other fish.

gotta agree with Lady H here, once they start breeding nothings safe..
