Hey, i recently bought an all black male molly and a female dalmation molly. Will they breed or wont they because of the different colours?

They will breed like rabbits.

I agree...and the colour of a fish doesn't really have anything to do with whether they will breed or not. That is how many of the colour morphs/varieties are produced, from breeding the different colours. Dalmatian mollies may change colour as they mature and become more of a single colour.

Absolutely Little Embers.
One thing to keep in minf though. You should cross similar colours to get where you want to be (although in your case you don't need to worry, as both have black, and you're not selective breeding).
Livebearers (except Guppys) have a tendancy to lose colour when interbred. A blue mickey mouse and a red wag will produce probably about 40% great colourful fish, the rst can look like a smeared colour between the two - depending on dominant genes and which is the male / female.
I have bred Dalmation with black sailfin and must say the results are very satisfactory!
Pics when they pop?

My wife bred a black molly with a gold paddy and had the ugliest fry I have ever seen. I call them Pigpen from the Peanuts :hmm3grin2orange:
Aother question i suppose even due to what youve all said (thanky you!) the male is takeing no intrest whatsoever in the female? ive seen him chase her very lazly but never proceeds her. Why is that? Is there something i could do to help?
The female was pregant when i bought her, i just thought she was fat as there was no gravid spot. Shes given birth just over a week ago.
