Hey all,
I have 10 neon tetras that have gotten along very well schooling since I got them. Tonight I have noticed 2 in particular that will not stop chasing each other around in a very tight little circle. Whenever another one comes near, they chase it away, and go back too there circle dance.
Is this a common behaviour in neons?

Probably a dominance or a spawning thing. I would not worry about it. They should settle down and play nice again.

Have you read this:[Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Scroll down and read about spawning.
I think all fish get nippy with one another at one time or another.:22:

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Now I have noticed 4 or 5 of my neons looking unusually bloated underneath. Like a lump on the 'stomach' area. Sorry, not too sharp on fish anatomy.
WHat could this be? Overfeeding? A result of spawning?
I should also note that none of the neons seem to be acting strange or different. They are happily shoaling and chasing each other around the tank.

They all seem to be eating very well. Feed them generally once a day (missing a day or 2 per week.
