I have a bunch of endlers in a 20L that I am breeding for food for the 55 and for the tiger barbs. I'm gonna throw some pregnant guppies in there too, to jump start the colony. My question is whether or not I could add cherry shrimp colony to the tank. My goal is to have them in the 20L so I can use them as feeders too. I want to also have them in the blue crayfish tank. I know he'll eat them eventually, which is what I want, and which is why I want the colony to be in another tank.
Any problems with this?

the cherry shrimp would more than likely be considered food, and gone very quickly. There are only a few fish that shrimp will do ok with, otocinclus, and I've had luck with them with dwarf and spotted rasbora (both these rasbora are about 2cm in length). Most fish even if the shrimp won't fit in there mouth will tear them apart and then eat them. Would need very dense plant coverage to keep a steady/growing population going with other fish.
A breeder cherry shrimp colony hmm I would go with just a bare tank with some java moss or floating plants, no fish and a sponge filter. Not sure how much nutritional value is in those guys, fairly small.

Hmmm, then maybe I'll divide the tank...
I mainly want yellow shrimp in the blue crayfish tank, so I want a sustaining colony to replace the ones that are eaten. The shells are good for the crayfish.
