Someone just gave me one and told me to raise with my mollies. Everything is perfect in my tank at present but it is very close to fresh water, as in not much salt. My mollies have not suffered and the tank is planted and quite nice to observe. Will this make a difference or do I need to add more salt?

Do not add more salt as the ray prefers true fresh water and is more sensitive than the mollies. (not to mention much more expensive) The mollies will most likely end up as food anyway (I assume that is the idea).

I recommend that you read everything you can about motoro rays as they are sensitive . I also recommend that you visit a board with more experienced ray keepers such as Monster fish keepers forum (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com) to get more help.
