Hi there::help:
I am new around here and have just aquired an AQUAh2O 100 tank. It is as yet totally devoid of anything. Should I keep it like that?
Does anyone out there have the 1m AQUAh2O?
When I was a kid, I started a tank. We just put in water from the tap. A few plants, some sand, fish and away we went. Now I read of ammonia, nitrates, nitrites and a host of other things.
What is the most important when starting up?

many thanx
Mike

do research and understand what's going on inside the tank that's the most important thing.
also welcome to ac.

Welcome to AC.

Fishless cycle is the way to go. Saves you a ton of work and the loss of fish. Next would be deciding on the species you want and what you know will be compatible with it, what size they will get and how many can go in a tank. If you want a planted tank or not, etc.

Lots of fun. You will love it and congrats on scoring a large tank right off the bat.

I think the tank would be around 230 liters. 100cm x 45cm 50cm (or nearby)

225 liters or ~ 60 gallons. Still quite an impressive starting tank. I'm jealous :)

Hi there
I think the 100 refers to the width 100cm. It apparantly holds around 230L.:thumb:
