One of the goldfish in my 20 gallon has been acting differently over the past few days. A large portion of the day he goes up to the glass of the tank, then swims to the top of the water, down to the gravel, to the top, repeat, repeat, repeat, all in the same spot.

Could there be anything wrong? =(
Or am I just being paranoid? lol. =P

The water is as it should be, and has cycled.
It has been filled for two years now.

Please list your water parameters. How often do you do water changes, what kind of filter, any air stones?

I already see one problem since you have more then one in a 20g.

The fish has begun behaving as it normally does again. Thank you anyways.

As to the overcrowding issue only one small goldfish lives in the tank full-time. The pond the others were in sprang a considerable leak and was losing water at an alarming rate, so they were moved to the tank for a week in order for the hole to be patched. Everyone will be back to their respective homes come tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking now it could have just been the stress of being moved/being in a much smaller and crowded space.

That would make sense. I am glad they will be back in thier home soon.
