my auratus finally spawned

I finally got to watch my auratus spawn. it's their first spawn. and judging by the raised aggression in the tank there might be another female about ready to spawn.

thanks they have tried to spwan before but my male greshakei kept breaking them up and my bichir got the eggs

Congrats. I finally have auratus fry too. Took almost 2 years. I bought juvies and kept ending up with all males but finally grew out a couple females.

I need to get more females out of the four I bought I got 2 male and 2 female.
now one of the males lives with my jewels and gets picked on by them

I had removed my holding female to a 10g. tank and let her spit there. Today my grandaughter noticed a couple more teeny tiny auratus fry in the main tank. Guess the smaller female that I was afraid might turn out to be male, was a female too. Didn't even think she was big enough to breed.

i'm still not decided on my other female it looked like it wants to change color now
I hyave been told that they can spawn at about an inch
