I have sad news about the baby conure that was in very poor conditions. It died a few minutes ago. It seemed to get stronger but then the head just dropped and it died. I don't know if it perhaps didn't have the strength to keep its head up and broken its neck when the head fell. The neck was just the bone with extremely little muscle. The bone was protruding more then a 5mm in its neck which says something about how thin it was.

Its health condition was very much worse then I first expected. Besides the leg problem and malnutrition it also had a severe fungal infection that I discovered yesterday night after having smelled it. Its skin was like glass in some places. It was also unnatural quite. It didn't make a chirp during its time here.

I had high hopes that it was recover as it was eating but it seems in the end it was just to far gone.

Sorry, William...Sometimes, when there's too many problems, it's best for the bird or any animal, including us, to just pass quietly...

Yes. atleast he didn't go hungry its last day. It makes me even more motivated to check out the word I got that there are 4 more in the same home.

The other one is in much much better condition and I would be very suprised if that one doesn't recover.

If there are four more, I would certainly try to go rescue them, before they end up the same way.

I am okay. It was too sick looking for me to allow myself to get attached to it. But it very sad none the less and I feel sorry for him or her.

Very sorry to hear. Sounds like it was a surprising blow as you said he seemed to be getting stronger.

It is sad Will. Very sorry to hear it. I think checking out the other 4 might be a good idea, they might not be as wasted away as what this little one was and they may live good long life with you!

It was. Especially since he died suddenly. Just collapsed. But it isn't really suprising his general condition.

But I will look forward and tomorrow I will try to find out if there are 4 more risking the same fate or if the info is bad.
