Got sime Coralline amino acids, and wanted to know the benificial aspects of these, and how they differ from liquid coral feed..

Am I right in saying that Amino acids are a supplement and not a food? Or is it slightly different..

I know the spiel on the back of the container is saying "Its the best thing for your corals..." But you get that on every container you buy....

Thanks

Kai

Kai,
Amino acids are often added to prepared foods to simulate live foods. It's the same for corals. Amino acids are contained within the tiny foods they eat (the marine snow is an example), so I understand the premise of the product, but don't know of either it's quality, usage and effectiveness to say Yea or Nay on it.

Cheers Dave,

What Ill probably do is add it alternating days to the coral feed. It cant hurt, seeing as Ive read an article that its attributed to good healthy coral skeletal growth...
