My Tank

well, i finally took some pics of my 25/30 gal.....

1 - RES @ 1.25" shell length
2 - dwarf gouramis
1 - common plec @ 5"

* the gouramis survived the initial attacks by the turtle, now everyone is alive and friends *

don't get all crazy on me......my turtle cannot eat them......heck, they even share food with each other.....

*plec under the wood (look carefully)

yeah....this is more of a terrarium....depth is only at 9-10" right now....gouramis do fine, not worried about the plec just yet.....
once i move the RES out....will increase depth all the way.....

they do when they eat every floating thing in their sight!

i am serious.....i don't overfeed.....they pick that tank clean!

Tank looks cool but I don't know about the gourami's. I lost more of those than anything else I had. They appear to be pretty sensitive.

correct! it is a red-eared slider.....

as for the gourami's not being that hardy of a fish? i ain't sure....they have survived my earlier mistakes in cycling and seem to be doing quite well! if
eating is any sign of that......but seriously - they seem to be thriving - especially after the RES stopped trying to eat them - i think their stress level is way down.....

and don't worry - once the RES is too big - he will be leaving.....but you should see the plec stand up for himself - although he is larger than the turtle - he really bully's the turtle around....quite funny...
