Starting in May, my dad had me go out and collect some job applications so I could make some money this summer. I got 7 applications that I filled an dturned in at the following locations:

McDonalds
another Mcdonalds
Taco Bell
Arctic Circle
Arbys
KFC
Jack in the Box

After I turned them in, they all told me that I would recieve a call within three days. I never recieved a call. :ssuprised:

Today Arbys called me and said that since two of my brothers worked there and did a good job, they thought they could depend on me to do an equally good job. So they hired me and told me to come in at 9am the next day for orientation. thumbs2: thumbs2: thumbs2:

Congrats! They looking for more people?? I need a job... IBM closed their doors, Lockheed and BAE laying off over 500 people each, not a lot of calls for an pcb design engineer here... but I can cook!! thumbs2:

If your serious about wanting a job at Arbys, then go to an Arbys restaurant and ask for an appication. If they are hiring then they should be willing to give you one.

Grats on the job. That means you have money now to buy another tank, right?

I'm hoping that after I finish my current project, that I can save some money for college and save some to convert my 38g into a FOWLR tank.

Congrats!!! Saving for college is a good plan...then you can get a degree or a certificate and earn more money!!!thumbs2: Then you buy the tank of your dreams!!! :hmm3grin2orange:

When you send in an application, call 2 days later and ask to speak with a manager and check on the status of your application. I work for a very large corporation, and the secret is, if you don't call them, you don't get hired.

I will have to remember that for next time! thumbs2: I got this job because they saw my name and they realized that I was brothers of two people who workd there and had good reputation there Now I'm expected to hold that reputation!

I went to my orientation today, and they made me fill out some paperwork so I could get into their system. They also had me take a Food Handlers Test and I got a 19/20, so now I have a Food Handlers Card.

They scheduled me for 11 hours for the rest of this week, and that includes a staff meeting.
