Mine is at 7.8-9 and i have 30lb live rock, 20 lb live sand in a 29 gallon tank. its been up for almost two weeks and the PH has stayed the same. Is it supposed to rise over time?

i dont want to add crushed coral because I hate the look of it. I also dont want to add chemicals to raise it because of the possibility of it fluctuating too much when I do water changes etc....

Any suggestions at getting it up around 8.2?

It should balance itself out naturally after a few months. Ours was on the high side when we started and now is down to the normal side. As long as it doesn't dip much below 7.8 at night I wouldn't worry about it at this stage of your tank. When are you testing? This is usually a slight fluctuation between night and day. It will be lower in the am vs just before the lights turn off at night
