Hi,

My Perculas that I added yesterday only seem to be swimming behind the powerheads at the top of the tank. Im sort fo expecting odd behavour, but it sabit wierd that theyve got laods of hiding places, rock caves and everything else, but jsut seem to be swimming in this corner mostly.

Theyre color is actually better than when I got them at the LFS and they are eating very well, so I cant see any health problems.

Can anybody shed any light on this one??

Kai

When I bought the same fish a week or two ago he/she would just swim behind the overflow box. I have over 100+lbs of LR with caves and all that fun stuff but he/she just stayed there. However, I brought home a different type of coral and since then the clown just hangs around it all the time. Here is a pic... look towards the top left and you will see the fish... a little blurred. I think just give him some time... especially since the clown is eating and appears well.

cool, thats good to hear cos ive just gone out and sepnd £79 on coral for them since the tank is too young to have the anemone they hosted... Also, youve got a finger coral that appears anemoneish, ive got soft bushy coral, in opinions, do you thing this will matter? much??

Do you think that given maturity for the tank, I should purchase the anemone they hosted and place it in my tank??

Nice pic BTW.

Honestly, I don't know. The torch soft coral you are talking about was just added because I liked it. I was surprised when the clown decided to make it its new home. Stays there day or night. Even when the coral goes to sleep lol.

How mature is your tank? I waited months and months before I bought any coral. I took my time because everything is more expensive than FW and it is not worth it to be in a rush.

Yeah, waiting is good. I was talking to a few people I have become friends with at a hole in the wall LFS and they said to wait 8-12 months before even thinking about anemones. If nothing goes wrong during that time than I would be good to add those.

Good luck!
