Have you tried surface fans yet? They can make a 4 degree F difference.

Yeah ive tried that, but it doesnt really make a difference at all and its really noisy!!!

The problem is that its a sealed unti bought as an all in one system, therefore I dont actually need to look at this at all, maybe a fan , but ive tried a 400W room cooler and this does not cool it to anything below 26.1c.

This is after Ive suspended the lights, and had the fan running all night after the halides have been off. To manufacturer rep is completely useless and the store are trying to get to the bottom of this for me. But in anycase, I have a tank that I have that is cycled and ready to go. But the minute I put livestock in there and turn the lights on, theyll probably die within the week or so from stress.

In any case, I need to look at a chiller unit to regulate the temparature better.

What i plan on doing for a cooler is getting one of those electric coolers you can buy at wal mart or kmart and filling it with water. then im going to put a decent bit of airline tubing into it (in coils) and letting the ice freeze solid. then all you need to do is run an airpump nad the ice will cool the air and when it goes into the water it will slowly cool down the water. to adjust the temperature of the air you just need to adjust the amount of air tube you have coiled in the freezer box.

So, you have a MH light underneath the hood in a nano cube?!?! If that's correct, that's a pretty poor design.

I just have room fan set beside the tank and have it blowing across the surface. Cools it down about 4°F as already stated. Just go find the quietest room fan you can and stick it beside the tank and have it blow across the surface, if you can.
