I would like to take a minute to introduce my self to you all. My name is rubberducks and I am extremely new to the aquarium keeping. I decided little less than a year ago that I would like to become a marine biologist because of my love and passion for the ocean and its inhabitants. I started to read about how to set up aquariums and persuaded my husband to let me get a tank (reluctantly he said yes). So with in the next few weeks I will be buying supplies and setting up for my new family members to come home. I am very excited to start my adventure and looking forward to the many challenges that come my way.

I'm looking at doing a freshwater 55-100 gal glass tank. I would like to do an under gravel filter along with a canister filter. and was thinking I would like to do real plants however everyone I talk to seems to steer me away from doing that.

When I get my tank all set up I would like to start with
Plecos
Endlers Livebearer
cherry barbs
boesemani Rainbows
shrimp

thoughts...?
