Hi everyone, I have a pair of dalmation mollies 1 male and 1 female. They had babies and surprisingly 4 of them survived and they are just starting to get their little spots! I was just wondering, when the little ones are big enough to mate, would they try to mate with the mom? or just amoungst eachother?

Whoever is willing to participate I do believe, they are not picky.

The males will chase any female.

Males sexual organs develop last. After 3 months males appearing in the tank should be moved to prevent inbreeding. They will breed with any female in your tank it does not matter. They reach sexual maturity 4-5 months.:fish:

They are not picky, they will mate with any female. It is best to remove them if you wish to keep any of the future fry. The Male can be sexually mature anywhere from 2 months on depending on tank conditions.
