Only kidding, but I thought it would get your attention:wink2:

Entries and votes are down a bit in the early stages of the new comps, have you entered and voted, remember this is weekly now.

Hobbs puts a lot of time into the comps, and though some of us may not like change, or take some time to adjust, lets all give the new way the comps are done a chance, and see how they go.

Also, If you are new, take a look at the comps, they are open to all:thumb:

If the montly doesn't pan out, we will go back to the monthly but honestly, it's rather hard having 20 entries with 35 people voting. You end up with everyone having 2 votes. And.....the month gets long. I'd hoped this way would be more active.

It would be a shame to see the new format of the comps not work, just for the lack of people wanting change though, unless given a fair chance we will never know, perhaps after a couple of months hobbs could have a vote on the feelings of the comps.

A poll. Good idea. But if we divide weekly what we used to do by the month, we are still about the same for activity.

I think the problem is visibility. When I first joined the forums, I didn't know about the comps either because I just checked general, begin, chatterbox, etc. And clicking on new posts doesn't exactly do much either because noone ever posts in the comp threads. Perhaps if a sticky was made in gen forums to go vote, or if the comps themselves were posted in the gen forums instead.

I didnt knw they existed up to NOW when I read this thread....
I think its a visibility problem.. maybe if we could like make it more visible it would work better...
maybe put it on the LOUNGE section of the forum on top of CHATTERBOX tht would make a lot more people SEE IT....
