Well, I started my cycle with the raw shrimp last week, and have been testing the water, My Ammonia is coming down a little, even though I think is a little too fast, Already installed the lights (CoralLife 192 watt), installed the two powerheads (Koralia 2 and Penguin 550), added LR (20lb Fiji) and installed the moon lights LED's.

Now Im thinking about buying the skimmer. I was looking at two Skimmers, I would like any feedback on both if you have any experience with either both.

1st Skimmer?

I'm currently using the Coralife 125 Super Skimmer, and I am happy with the performance. The 65 would work just about the same. You would probably be happy with either of two you mentioned in my opinion.

The live rock will cycle the tank and should do so quickly. Not sure that I would even bother with the shrimp. I would also opt fot the 125 as the 65 has had issues with possible flooding. Good luck!

So, should I take the shrimp out? Or it will be faster if I leave it?

Get the Octo, they are great skimmers.

Frankly, it's really up to you. There is no right or wrong way on this one.

My advice on the skimmer is the Octopus. I just purchased one and got it running and I love it already. They are a really well made skimmer and you will not regret getting it.

What size tank do you have again? Oh and you might check the link below. This is where I bought mine and they have some pretty good prices. I run the BH-300F but that might be much depending on the size of your tank.
