would having 2 filters in a 10 gallon tank be beneficial at all? and would a ground filter be harmful to bottom feeders?

Two filters would be fine, since you can clean one while leaving the other running, and vice versa. An undergravel filter gets less and less efficient over time, and isn't worth having. It wouldn't be harmful, just inefficient.

Pair of small hang-on back power filters, both rated for 20 gallon tanks, would be fine for your 10.

Just make sure you don't have fish that desire a low flow rate.

we always ran 2 10-15g cheapo HOB filters when he had our 10g, and it worked wonderfully. I've never heard enough good things to try an undergravel filter.. they are slowly being phased out I believe.

The more filtration the better!!!! If you do have any flow issues, you can easily remedy them!! There are several great DIY posts on here!!!

I would not recommend getting an underground filter, I have never used one, but I have never really heard anything good about them.

Problem with 10g is they dont have a lot of cut outs and the space on the back of the tank makes it hard to put two filters. Its just hard to get two filters to HOB without it looking crowded.

You could do an undergravel filter but they've fallen out of fashion from what I gather.

I'd just add an AC30. I have an aquatech30 on my 10g, and i've really noticed the upgrade of the topfin10
