Here's a picture of my new pleco munching on some organic cucumber...

It looks like that plec has a silver spoon in his mouth.

Nice picture. Mine wont touch vegies until they're good and soft and falling apart. I put a slice of cucumber in the tank and it stays there until the cuke is a white fuzzy blobby mess. Then it gets eaten.

Broccolli is the same way, It takes a couple days, then the tiny fleurets get eaten by the Ottos, then a few days later when the stalk is unrecognizable, the plec comes and eats it. In the mean time, the tank has all these strange green blobs floating around, clogging the filter inlet.

Those are great pics Ashley!
That'll do it some good!

You shouldn't leave the food in there that damager,it does foul the water. Its your choice! lol
If you start to take it out earlier the fish may learn to go after it sooner.Just a thought.
I add it at night after lights out and remove very little of it in the morning.
I tried your way and it really stunk up the tank and the filter didn't take long to grow mould.A few days!

I only leave it in for a day. I don't want it rotting in there.

Great pics!!! Looks like he is loving it!!!!

I do not recommend leaving food in the tank so long that it gets bubbly and fuzzy, that will foul the water, and ity could also cause bad bacteria to get into your fish system. Not a good idea!

Thats the best thing for your pleco! If I was going to the LFS to buy a pleco, I'd ask the fish guy to drop a piece of cuke in the tank and whichever plecos go right for it are the ones you want to buy...
