I am using the above liquid test kit.It comes with a card for sw and for fw.Being that I am using it for bw which card do you all reckon I should use?So far I have used the sw comp card.

The colors on the 2 cards are not dramatically different. I would say it really wouldn't matter which one you use, as long as you are seeing results that show the presence of ammonia that is what matters. :)

I am only getting .25 reading on the sw card,the color is quite different from anything that comes close on the fw card.Its also a foggy color which I assume is normal for salt water.Thank you ilmgb.

how about draining some tank water off, and adding some ammonia to it to jack up the reading a bit? Then run your test and see which card come closest. It's been my experience (even with liquid kits) that when at the extrem low or high end of the range they aren't always accurate. If you take the time to do the math, you might be able to know what the ammonia level is(approximately) before you even test(if you add X drops to x gallons of water at .25ppm concentration you should end up with Xppm). If it were me i'd use the Saltwater card.
