Are all flowerhorns so aggresive they cant have tank mates. I am very intrested in getting one but I dont want it just to be him. I even thought of buying a mated pair but the guy said you would have to seperate them. Any thoughts would help.

All you can do is try.... More than likely it will be a single fish in the tank.

Ok I know this might be little controversial but if you got a big tank, atleast 150 gallon and decorated it well to create natural territorial boundries you can keep flowerhorns with other large central americans without to much trouble. It does help if your used to how to reduce aggression.
