the comet (Scuba Steve) is in a tank all by him/herself. The oscar (Zoidberg) is now back in the 20 gallon, with a pleco that he thinks is his boxing bag. Dont think that relationship is going to last. :(

LOL, the third pic from the top, there's a decoration that's tipped over, does it say "I love goldfish" ? :)
I have one too and it's in almost the same exact position, facing down!

An oscar in a 20 G? Isnt that just a bit too small for those poop machines?

Do you have any plans on getting a bigger tank for the oscar? If you keep the oscar well fed it can help limit his/her agression...won't stop it, it may just be he may not like the other fish...it all depends on each fish from what I have seen and experienced good luck.

No worries! LOL The 20 is only temporary since were considering moving. Zoidberg is only approx 2" long right now, and I have a 55 in storage just for him! I love the concern for him though you all have shown, It's so nice to be around people that dont look at me like I'm stupid and say "Its just a fish!" Thanks! The sign in the comets tank says "Beware of Jaws"...you know, because goldfish are such dangerous creatures!:hmm3grin2orange:
I set it back upright, and he knocks it right back over. Moves his plant around too. wierdo.

Well I did read that you have had them before and I assumed you know how big the oscars get so I was just curious if ya had the tank cycling or just waiting til he is a bit bigger then going to get it going but if you might move I can see why you are trying to wait. Just remeber these guys grow very fast, and before you know it he will be ready to move.

Scuba Steve!!! I named one of my foster kittens, years ago, Scuba Steve! It's an awesome name for a pet! Did you get the name from the Adam Sandler movie?
Also, Zoidberg is great too! I'm so glad there's another member with a sense of creative humor with their names!

Zoidberg for a baby?....god help us all!! :hmm3grin2orange:
I used to work at an animal shelter right before I moved here to Texas in October. I'm in a rental home so I can't do any foster work until I purchase a home (which hopefully will be soon, but it just depends on how fast my house in NY sells). I miss working with animals so much. Since I can't foster in this house, I went with an aquarium which is how I ended up on this forum. I was the asst. to our medical director, so I used to foster our special needs cats, or the ones with disorders that our regular fosters didn't want to take.

You are such my kind of woman!thumbs2:
I used to work at the Humane socitey in Sioux Falls, then as a preschool teacher, now at a vet clinic. I just love kids and animals, especialy those in need. Maybe thats why I love my man so much, he has the kid aspect to him(compared to me) hes 22 I'm (crying) 30, and he reminds me of a
fox terrier, lab mix. Goofy and spunky as He@# and dedicated to the task at hand!LOL

Mine is a beautiful 6 gallon desktop with nice, long, lush plants in the back corner, natural/white gravel, with cutesy Greek/Roman statue ruin ornaments......AND NO FISH BECAUSE MY FREAKING TANK WON'T CYCLE!
(Sorry for the outburst, it's a sore subject with me).
By the way Melanini, keep up the good work with the animals! The pets of america need your help! :malelovies:
